A prominent regional law firm is seeking a skilled and motivated Commercial Litigation Associate to join its growing litigation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling a broad range of complex commercial disputes, including contract issues, business torts, regulatory matters, and other business-related litigation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in commercial litigation matters across various industries, including banking, finance, real estate, manufacturing, and technology.
- Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support litigation strategies.
- Prepare and respond to discovery, including depositions, interrogatories, and requests for production.
- Participate in hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and clients to develop litigation strategies and manage case timelines.
- Maintain and develop client relationships, providing ongoing advice and updates on case status.
- Contribute to business development efforts and assist in expanding the firm’s commercial litigation practice.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar and eligibility to practice in the relevant jurisdiction.
- 2-5 years of experience in commercial litigation, with a solid understanding of procedural rules and litigation best practices.
- Strong writing, research, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the judiciary.
